Nicolas Rossignol Savigny-les-Beaune Lavieres · 2018
Nicolas Rossignol Savigny-les-Beaune Lavières 2018 is an elegant and expressive red wine from the Burgundy region of France. This wine, made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes from the Savigny-les-Beaune appellation, reflects the mastery and care in winemaking that characterises Nicolas Rossignol. In the glass, the 2018 Savigny-les-Beaune Lavières shows a vibrant, clear cherry red colour. The nose is a display of delicate and complex aromas, where notes of fresh red fruits such as strawberries and raspberries stand out, complemented by a floral touch of violets and a slight presence of wood spices, such as vanilla and clove, due to its barrel ageing. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and remarkably balanced. The acidity is lively and harmonises perfectly with the soft but structured tannins, allowing for a velvety and elegant mouthfeel. Red fruit flavours mingle with earthy and mineral nuances, typical of the Savigny-les-Beaune terroir, leading to a long and satisfying finish. This wine is ideal to accompany meals based on white meats, poultry, and pasta dishes with light sauces. It can also be an excellent complement to a French cheese board of medium intensity.
