Gallinas & Focas is the result of Amadip.esment and Bodega 4 kilos working together. Amadip.esment is an organisation which works for the benefit of the mentally handicapped. Members of amadip.esment play an active role in all wine-making processes, as the project's main participants. Both the name of the wine and also the label design are the result of their efforts. Gallinas & Focas is a wine made from 10 year-old syrah vines, grown at an altitude of 200 metres, on the Es Vinyaret estate, and 25 year-old mantonegro vines, grown on the Son Roig estate, at an altitude of 139 metres. Aged for 15 months in new French 500-litre Allier oak barrels.
