Gaja Barbaresco Sorì Tildin · 2022
He needs no introduction, Angelo Gaja. If Barbaresco and Langhe in general are what they are today, much is due to this pioneer of vineyard and wine as a business. His reds are universally considered masterpieces of style and elegance. Sorì Tildin, from the homonymous Nebbiolo vineyard dedicated to Angelo's grandmother, is considered by many to be the most complete and balanced cru of the extraordinary range of the Gaja house. Cultured, imperious, austere nose, marked by dark notes of bitter chocolate, mulberry jam, earth and spices; then again wonderful balsamic whiffs on a mineral background so rich and punctual as to be surprising. On the palate, vigor and density explode in an energetic and structured but incredibly chiseled mouth. Longevity? From the annals of wine!
