Catena Paraje Altamira Malbec · 2024
The 'Appellation' wine range from Bodegas Catena Zapata faithfully replicates the concept of Burgundy's village wine. Just as happens in France, this wine collection has its main focus on the terroir, which means the region's origin becomes much more important than the grape variety or the ageing. The wines are named after historic vineyards, small in size, such as Lunlunta, Agrelo and La Consulta. Featuring among them is this Catena Paraje Altamira Malbec, a red made solely from the grapes of the location, a magical spot with chalky soils capable of producing wines which have fantastic acidity and impressive minerality.
