About the vineyard[+]
Corpinnat is a collective brand born in the historic region of Penedès with the aim of distinguishing great classic sparkling wines. Quality sparkling wines produced from organic grapes grown in a strictly-defined region of 46 villages and towns in the centre of Penedès. Several other conditions ensure the quality of wines created by the wineries in the Corpinnat group. Grapes are harvested by hand and the wines must be produced on property belonging to the wineries. Other key features are that wines are made from only the best quality organic grapes and aged for at least 18 months (with some processes reaching 140 months). The grapes must come from a winery’s own vineyards or other vineyards which have historic links to the cellar. In these latter cases, Corpinnat sets a minimum price for the fruit a winery buys. The brand is committed to creating the best quality wine and a true expression of the territory with these classic Catalan bubbles leading the way as excellent ambassadors for the region. These 11 wineries form the Associació de Viticultors i Elaboradors Corpinnat (AVEC): Gramona, Llopart, Nadal, Recaredo, Sabaté i Coca, Torelló, Huguet Can Feixes, Júlia Bernet, Mas Candí, Can Descregut and Pardas.
